Team Sahlen had a weekend to forget at the 1st round of the 2015 Season for the Continental SportsCar Challenge Series at Daytona International Speedway.
“To have come so close to being in victory circle, and have it snatched by an unforeseen mechanical issue out of our control just seems so emptying. With only a ½ hour to go, we were in the lead, then the whole car just started to lose more and more power, until it finally stopped on track.” – shared Wayne Nonnamaker
For this weekend’s event, Team Sahlen will again be entering the #42 and #43 entries with drivers Wayne Nonnamaker, Jeff Segal and Will Nonnamaker at the wheel. This three driver paring will share the duties in the two cars.
“Although it didn’t play out like we would have preferred at Daytona, we still feel that we have the right combination and chemistry of 3 drivers in 2 cars that will lead us to victory. Sebring is one of my favorite tracks. Not only is this a historic track to be driving on, but I always seem to personally do very well here. I am looking forward to getting back out on the tarmac and competing at this airport circuit.” – shared Will Nonnamaker
One slight change for this weekend will see the Wayne Nonnamaker drive the #43 entry and Will Nonnamaker will switch over to the #42 entry. And Jeff Segal will continue to start and finish between the two cars. This switch up will hopefully shake things up in the hopes of the Team’s eventual goal for 2015 of contending for the ST Championship
