Team Sahlen is looking forward to a Big weekend at the Sahlen’s Six Hours of the Glen.  The event is the Hometown race for Sahlen’s.  For over 10+ years, the Buffalo, New York based meat packing company has sponsored the 6 Hour Endurance Classic.  And along with sponsoring the main event for the weekend, Sahlen’s has also packed in big fun for the fans along the way.  This has included the Sahlen’s Hot Dog Eating Contest, hosting Sahlen’s Western New York Flash Women’s Professional Soccer Team, and the Weekend Concert Series.

On track, Team Sahlen has competed in both the premier Sahlen’s Six Hours of the Glen event, but as well as the support Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge races.  For 2015, Team Sahlen will be returning to race in the Saturday.  The team finished a close 2nd place in 2014, and the team is hoping to move up one more step on the podium for this year’s event.

The driver line up for this event will be Wayne & Will Nonnamaker in the #42 racer and Joe Sahlen & Jeff Segal in the #43.  Currently Will Nonnamaker is in 6th place in the Driver Points. As well, Team Sahlen’s #42 is in 8th place in the Team Points.

Will Nonnamaker shared his feelings heading into the weekend – “I really enjoy driving this track.  Although the year has not started out like we had hoped, to still be in 6th place in the points gives us hope with 7 races to go.  There has been quite a gap since our last event, and we have used that time wisely, going out and testing several times to work on our set up for the remainder of the season.

The Sahlen’s Six Hours of the Glen weekend is always an especially memorable one for the Sahlen’s family. Not only does Sahlen’s sponsor the weekend, and always has race cars on track, but the weekend is always a great big get together for the Sahlen’s family and their extended close friends

“I always look forward to the Glen. I have been coming here since the 1970’s when Formula 1 raced here.  We camped out then at the track, and even today I enjoy staying at the track in my camper.  This should be a fun weekend, and I hope that we can put on a good show for all the Sahlen fanatic fans out there.” – shared Joe Sahlen

The Continental Tire Challenge race will start at 12:25 pm on June 27th.  FoxSports1 will air the broadcast of the event on July 5th at 10 am.
